This is a must read for all women! For too long, we've believed the world's view of beauty and fall short. There are so many wounded women. I found myself smiling as Lisa Shaw shared Bible verses that tell me how God sees me.Lisa challenges us to see ourselves through the lens of God's eyes. How do we do that? First we must have an abiding relationship with God through Jesus Christ his Son. Many women have the head knowledge about this relationship but haven't quite learned it as heart knowledge.
Lisa gives 7 reasons why women are wounded and have difficulty seeing themselves as God sees them:

At the end of each chapter, Lisa poses questions to ponder. She suggests pray every step of the way.
I loved Lisa Shaw's conversational writing style. This book isn't preachy but contains Truth. Lisa understands because she's been there. However, she is finally free and now knows that she is beautiful in God's eyes. And she adds a "Praise God" to that!
I highly recommend this book for all women!

When I saw the cover of this book, "You are Beautiful in God's Eyes" and looked upon the face of the author, Lisa Shaw, with her big beautiful smile looking upward holding a sign in her hands which reads, "I am Beautiful Praise God!" It appears as though a burst of light came shining from heaven upon her face, and I felt this overwhelming presence and love of God. I knew before I opened this book to read it, that it would bless me and be a blessing and encouragement to many. The question is asked on the face of the book, "What does God see when He looks at me?" There are so many women who have experience struggles in their lives feeling unloved, and can't forgive themselves; therefore seeing God as One who sees the ugly and will not forgive them. Lisa unveils the truth of God and His Word of what He sees and how He truly see us when He gazes upon us. She exposes the lies of the enemy of our soul, (our wrong and distorted thinking). There is a powerful anointing of love upon the words of this book that when you began to read it, you can't put it down until you've completed it; it draws one into the presence of God and you know it is He speaking to you, encouraging you, loving you and healing you. I've had the opportunity to send this book to women in prison who read it and reported how their lives have been touched and thinking changed by reading this book, and they have passed it on to other inmates. I totally recommend this book to women and men. You will be encouraged, blessed and definitely want to bless others with this treasure.

Lisa Shaw shares the truth from God's Word about real beauty that is more than just skin deep. She explains it in such a way that you feel as if you are with a girlfriend that knows your deepest secrets and loves you anyway. Her words "smile" just like her picture on the front cover, and true concern and compassion fill each page of this book as she prays for you...and then asks you to join with her.

Lisa's book is truly a gem. In today's society we are bombarded with who we should be, what we should look like, how we should think and the works. Lisa does a wonderful job in breaking down the walls and showing us who we really are in Christ.
I was very blessed by this book. The world gives us so many false ideas of how we are to be beautiful and Ms. Lisa gives some insightful and encouraging words using God's word. I love how she conveys a message filled with God's truth that every woman needs to read. She truly shows us women how we are beautiful in God's eyes!! I HIGHLY recommend this book!
This book is a blessing. I recommend mothers, daughters, etc to read this book. We look at the world and compare ourselves of the worldly ideas of how we should be instead of what God says we are. We are beautiful, made in his image. He makes no mistakes.

I have met Lisa online via Face book a couple of years ago. I always looked forward to seeing your encouraging Godly posts for women and people in general. This past summer she announced she would be leading an online bible study based off her book Beauty In God's Eyes. Lisa has a fire cracker personality with a genuine spirit to see women learn who they in Christ. She wants all women to know that they are Beautiful regardless of what you look like! I would encourage you to read the book but beyond that I would encourage you to reach out and connect with her on the Whole Woman weekly broadcast. You can find the broadcast on Blog Talk Radio.
